Screen printing ink adjustment

Most inks should be diluted before use, that is, adding boiling water. The commonly used 783 in the Chinese market is a kind of boiling water, which is made by adding a small amount of resin to the ketone solvent. The ink manufacturers all produce a series of supporting products. Open water. Open water is not a simple solvent. It is strictly speaking an ink with a very low viscosity and a small amount of resin dissolved, and the resin composition contained in the ink is the same.

Although the addition of ink to the oily water reduces the viscosity of the ink, the structure of the ink is not substantially affected, so we must avoid the use of simple solvents. This appears to be different from the solvents used in gravure printing. Gravure inks are very thin. The addition of solvents has a limited effect on the properties of the ink.

There is no essential difference between the boiling water of the printing ink and the boiling water of the screen printing ink. The main requirement of the printing and opening water is quick drying, so the solvent with too low volatility should be used less. MANABU launched a dedicated TPV series for printing and tapping water. Since most users lack understanding of this type of tapping water, it is rare in the Chinese market. Most of them are replaced by the screen printing oil UKV series.
