Poor sex. Can only be used for general application. This type of coating is not suitable for use in steel drums. The main varieties and functions of grease paint are as follows:
(1) The clear oil can be used alone to paint various metal, wood and fabric surfaces inside and outside, and can also be used to prepare thick lacquer and red dan antirust paint.
(2) Thick lacquer A thick syrup that should be blended with clear oil when used. It is generally used for outdoor large-scale buildings, such as bridges, houses, etc.
(3) Oily blending paint This paint is prepared by adding dry oil as the main base and adding pigment, solvent and dry material. The advantages are good adhesion, weather resistance, no pulverization and cracking, and durability is superior to magnetic blending paint. The disadvantage is that the dryness is poor and the paint film is soft. Oily blending paint is suitable for general metal, wood and masonry surface painting indoors and outdoors.
(4) The anti-rust paint of Hongdan is fully dried and the adhesion of the paint film is strong. It is a good anti-rust primer for ferrous metals. However, the dryness is poor and the paint film is soft.
(5) The oily electrophoretic paints of various colors have a wide source, the composition is low, non-toxic, and the construction is not affected by the ambient temperature.
2. Natural resin paint
The natural resin paint is a paint made by adding a dry oil and a natural resin, and adding an organic solvent or a dry material. The utility model has the advantages of simple construction, easy availability of raw materials, easy manufacture and low cost. Compared with grease paints, it has improved protection and decorative properties and can be used for the coating of furniture, civil buildings and metal products with low quality requirements. The disadvantage is that the phosphorus is poorly long. This type of coating is also not suitable for use in steel drums.
Natural resins such as shellac, rosin, lacquer, etc.; rosin resin is easy to be oxidized and destroyed by the paint because of its brittleness and high acidity, so it is often necessary to paint after appropriate modification. The main varieties of natural resin paint are:
(1) The advantages of shellac varnish are convenient construction, rapid drying, hard and smooth roadway, bright and transparent. Its shortcomings are not resistant to acid and alkali, not resistant to sunlight exposure, poor water resistance, easy to absorb moisture and white.
(2) Ester glue is divided into two types: magnetic blending paint and enamel paint. Generally, the magnetic blending paint has high oil content and many body pigments, while the magnetic paint has less oil content, less body pigment and high resin content. The performance of enamel is better than that of magnetic blending.
(3) Calcium lacquer paint film is hard, bright and smooth, and has a strong decorative effect in indoor use. However, because it is not durable, it is not resistant to water and has poor mechanical properties, it cannot be used outdoors.
Rosin modified resin and tanning oil, linseed oil and other dry oils are refined at high temperature. According to the amount of oil contained, it can be divided into three types: long oil, medium oil and short oil. The relationship between the ratio of resin to oil and its properties is as follows:
The ratio of short oil resin to oil is 1:2 or less. The paint film is fast drying, good gloss, hard and wear-resistant, but the weather resistance is not good, suitable for indoor paint.
The ratio of long oil to hard oil is above 1:3. The paint film is soft, good in flexibility, good in gloss, slightly improved in weather resistance, but slightly dry, and can be used for outdoor paint.
The ratio of medium oil resin to oil is between 1:2 and 3. Its performance is also between the above two.
3. Phenolic resin paint
The phenolic resin paint is a paint composed of a phenol resin or a modified phenol resin as a main film-forming material. It has the characteristics of high hardness, good gloss, fast drying, water resistance, acid and alkali resistance and good insulation. It is widely used in wood, furniture, construction, shipbuilding, machinery, electrical appliances and chemical corrosion resistant paints. The disadvantage is that the color is deep, and the paint film is easy to yellow during the aging process, so it is not suitable to manufacture white and light paint. It is cheaper than coatings and has good corrosion resistance. Some of them can be used as steel drum coatings.
Phenolic resin is formed by polycondensation of phenolic resin, mainly composed of phenol and formaldehyde, and other phenols such as cresol, xylenol, resorcinol, diphenol propane, p-phenylphenol, and uncle Butanol, p-tert-amylphenol, etc., aldehydes such as formaldehyde, furfural and the like. Depending on the molar ratio of phenol to aldehyde and the catalyst used, different phenolic resins can be made, such as thermoplastic, thermoset, modified, alcohol soluble, and the like.
Thermosetting alcohol-soluble phenolic resin paint, after baking and drying, the paint film is hard, has good oil resistance, water resistance, heat resistance and insulation resistance, dilute inorganic acid and concentrated organic acid, but the paint film is brittle and intolerant strong base. These coatings can be used in steel drums for filling a variety of solvents, oleochemicals, acidic liquids, and more. This material has been proved by the Shanghai Chemical Co., Ltd. for decades, and it is a steel drum inner coating with wide adaptability and good price performance.
Now, the outer coating used in many steel drum factories is a phenolic blend paint, which is a paint made of rosin modified phenolic resin. The phenol and aldehyde complex is modified with rosin, and the novolac is prepared by heat-drying a resin formed by glycation and a drying oil such as tung oil, and adding an organic solvent and a drier. First, the pigment is finely dispersed, and then an organic solvent and a drier are added to form a phenolic blend paint.
Still another phenolic resin is made from a substituted phenol such as p-tert-butylphenol or p-phenylphenol and formaldehyde, which can be directly reacted with vegetable oil to form a lacquer without modification with rosin. This phenolic resin is an oil-soluble phenolic resin. The oil-soluble phenolic resin paint has good water resistance, oil resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance and solvent resistance, and is a good dual-use coating for steel drums.
4. Asphalt paint
Asphalt paint is made by adding dry oil or synthetic resin to organic solvents such as natural asphalt or coal tar pitch.
The advantage of asphalt paint is that the paint film is bright and smooth, with good fullness, unique waterproof, acid resistance and certain alkali resistance, and has good insulation performance, low price and simple construction. The disadvantage is that the color of the paint is deep, it cannot be made into a light paint, and the heat resistance is poor.
5. Alkyd paint
The alkyd resin paint is a coating material in which an alkyd resin is used as a main film-forming substance.
Its advantages are:
1 good weather resistance, not easy to aging, long-lasting gloss;
2 the paint film is wear-resistant and flexible and firm;
3 anti-mineral oil, anti-alcohol solvent, the water resistance, insulation and oil resistance of the paint film after baking are improved.
The disadvantage is that the paint film is soft, poor in water resistance, moisture resistance, and scratch resistant.
(1) Dry oil modified alkyd resin paint
It is an alkyd resin lacquer modified with linseed oil and tung oil and dehydrated castor oil. It can be dried at room temperature or dried by heating.
Short oil alkyd paints are generally made of linseed oil, tung oil and glycerin, and phthalic anhydride. The paint film has good dryness, hardness, good adhesion, and good luster. Because of low oil content and poor leveling, it is suitable for spraying. Mainly used in the manufacture of a mandrel primer, putty and insulating varnish.
Medium oil alkyd paint performance is between short oil and long oil alkyd paint. Its versatility, gloss, hardness, adhesion, softness, gloss retention, durability, etc. are good, and it is widely used in the manufacture of various varnishes and enamels.
The long oil alkyd paint is made of soybean oil, pentaerythritol and phthalic anhydride. The alkyd resin varnish made of soybean oil has excellent color retention, durability, and gloss retention, and has good workability. The biggest characteristic of long oil alkyd paint is that the paint film is tough, the gloss is high, and the outdoor durability is good. Suitable for the manufacture of outdoor bridges, metal, wood surface coating paint.
The latter two alkyd paints can be used as steel drum coatings.
(2) Non-drying oil modified alkyd resin paint
The lacquer is an alkyd varnish made of a non-drying oil such as castor oil, coconut oil or cottonseed oil, and is rarely used alone. There are medium oil and short oil varieties.
The main purpose:
1 In combination with nitrocellulose, it can play the dual role of toughening agent and film-forming resin. Yanyin cellulose paint has improved gloss, adhesion, durability and fullness of paint film.
2 Used in combination with an amine-based resin to produce a white paint that can withstand baking temperatures and the paint film is not easily yellowed.
6. Amino resin paint
Amino resin paint is a paint mainly composed of amino resin and alkyd resin, and is one of the main varieties of baking paint. According to the ratio of the amount of the amino resin to the alkyd resin, there are a high amino group (amino resin: alkyd resin = 1:2.5), a medium amino group (amino resin: alkyd resin = 1:2.5-5) and a low amino group (amino resin: Alkyd resin = 1:5-7. 5) Various types. In general, the higher the amino resin, the better the gloss, hardness, water resistance, oil resistance, and insulation of the paint film, but the brittleness is large and the adhesion is poor.
The amino resin paint features are:

The disadvantage is that it cannot be dried at room temperature, and it needs to be baked at 100-120 ° C for 1.5-2 hours. Temperature and time need to be strictly controlled. The temperature is low, the film is easy to stick when the time is short; the paint film is brittle.
Because of its good performance, amino resin paint is widely used in the coating of metal products with high decorative performance, such as automobiles, instrumentation, bicycles, sewing machines, household appliances, medical machinery, electrical equipment, etc. The amino resin and the alkyd tree Zhao blanket are the best external coatings in terms of price performance in steel drums. Moreover, the production process is relatively simple and the equipment investment is very small, which is very suitable for the steel barrel production factory. 7. Nitrocellulose paint
Commonly known as "painting." It is made of nitrocellulose as a basic film-forming substance, and is dissolved in an organic solvent with an alkyd resin and a toughening agent.
Its characteristics are:
1 Dry quickly, dry after spraying for 10 minutes, and the general coating requires 24 hours of drying time;
2 The paint film is hard and wear-resistant. It is not as dry as oily paint. It has the disadvantages of sticky dust, sticky, wrinkled skin, etc. It has sufficient mechanical strength and wear resistance after drying.
