The data logger has two wake-up methods: WakeOnCAN and WakeOnRTC. As long as the wake-up mode is configured, the recorder can automatically start data recording at a specific event or time. It can be used in vehicle road test such as cold start test or fleet test.
WakeOnCAN is a data awakening recorder on the CAN bus.
WakeOnRTC is to wake up the recorder by the real clock inside the recorder.
Instructions:
1. WakeOnCAN
1. Select the serial number of the recorder, click the start-stop button under the system activation tab, and check WakeOnBus or NML in the WakeOnBus tab of the pop-up start-stop configuration dialog box.
The configuration in the figure means that on the CAN01 ~ 06 channel, if any channel has a message input, the recorder will start to record data.
Because the recorder will have messages on the bus during the startup process, but the recorder is not ready to parse the signal, the WakeOnBus option will display no value for the data during the recorder startup process, and the NML (No Message Lost) option will Start recording from the first message that wakes up the recorder in the form of a message, so that no data is lost.
If you select the NML mode CAN channel, Traffic Recording will appear. If you want to use the NML mode, the recorder must have the Traffic Recording option.
2. After the initialization is completed, unplug the KL15 (yellow) plug of the power cord of the recorder, and the recorder enters a low power consumption state-the power LED (green) flashes. Wait for bus message or KL15 to power up.
3. When there is no bus message or the shutdown condition is met, the recorder will go to sleep and wait for the next wake-up. The closing conditions are set by yourself, for example, the temperature in the car is lower than 20 ℃.
Second, WakeOnRTC (IPElog2 supports this function)
1. Activate RTC wakeup, select the mode, set the date / time, set the time according to the selected mode, check the measurement, so that the recorder will collect data when waking up.
2. There are three modes of RTC wakeup-one time, cycle, duration
Once means that the recorder is only awakened once at the set date / time, without setting the time.
Cycling refers to starting from the set date / time, at regular intervals, for example 1 hour, the recorder will wake up once to perform absolute cyclic data collection.
The duration refers to every period of time, such as 1 hour, wake up, no need to set the start date / time in advance.
