a Set temperature
Thermo Forma 370 series co2 incubators have an operating temperature range of 10 ° C–50
℃, this temperature is affected by the ambient temperature. When leaving the factory, the manufacturer sets the temperature to 10 ° C. Under this setting, all heaters will be turned off.
Follow these steps to set the temperature:
1. Press "MODE" to "SET" position.
2. Press "↠→" until the "TEMP XX.X" message is displayed
3. Press "↑ ↓" to set the required temperature value.
4. Press “ENTER†to save the setting value.
5. Press "MODE" to "RUN" position or press "↠→" to select other parameters.
b. Set over temperature
The 370 series co2 incubator has a second-level temperature monitoring system to monitor the temperature inside the chamber. This is a self-protection function of the machine. Once the temperature cannot be controlled, the machine will turn off all heaters. The alarm temperature in the cabinet is ± 1 ℃ of the over temperature.
The overtemperature temperature set by the manufacturer is 40 ℃, but the overtemperature temperature can be set up to 55 ℃. If the set temperature is higher than the over temperature, the machine will automatically increase the over temperature by 1 ℃. Generally, the overtemperature should be 1 ℃ higher than the set temperature.
Follow the steps below to set the over temperature:
1. Press "MODE" to "SET" position.
2. Press "↠→" until the message "O TEMP XX.X" is displayed.
3. Press "↑ ↓" to set the required over-temperature temperature value.
4. Press “ENTER†to save the setting value.
5. Press "MODE" to "RUN" position or press "↠→" to select other parameters.
c. Set CO2 concentration
The incubator with T / CCO2 sensor has been calibrated by the factory before leaving the factory. The environment during calibration is temperature: 37 ° C, high humidity, CO2: 10%. The chamber is calibrated at 37, high humidity, 10% CO2 Ever. Therefore, if the temperature is set to 37, the humidity tray is filled with water, the required CO2 concentration does not exceed 10%, and the CO2 concentration can be set immediately. Otherwise, the CO2 concentration value can only be set after the incubator is stable for 12 hours.
The CO2 concentration range of all incubators is 0.0% -20%. The factory set CO2 concentration is 0.0%. At this concentration, both the CO2 control and alarm system will be turned off. Follow the steps below to set the CO2 concentration value;
1. Press "MODE" to "SET" position.
2. Press "↠→" until the "CO2 XX.X" message is displayed.
3. Press "↑ ↓" to set the required CO2 concentration value.
4. Press “ENTER†to save the setting value.

2. Parameter calibration
Calibration mode
After the incubator is stabilized, several different systems can be calibrated. In calibration mode, temperature, CO2 concentration and humidity can be calibrated. Press the "MODE" key to enter the "CAL" mode. Press "↠→" to select the parameter to be calibrated. See CHART2-1 for detailed operation steps.
The frequency of calibration is determined by usage, environment and required accuracy. Under good experimental environment and operation, the equipment is calibrated once a year. For the newly installed machine, all parameters should be checked after the machine is stable.
Before calibration, users need to understand the following system functions. When the machine enters the calibration mode, all system control functions are stopped and the system is in a stable state. The parameter values ​​after calibration will be displayed on the panel. In calibration mode, if there is no operation within 5 minutes, the device will automatically return to RUN mode, and all the control functions will be activated at this time.
a. Temperature calibration
During calibration, the device must be in a stable state. The measuring thermometer should be placed in the middle of the box, not close to the left and right side walls.
The method and process of temperature calibration are as follows:
Machine just installed: stable for more than 12 hours.
Machine in use: After the display temperature reaches the set temperature, the machine must be stable for more than 2 hours.
Follow these steps to calibrate the temperature:
1. Press "MODE" to "CAL" position.
2. Press "↠→" until the message "TEMP CAL XX.X" is displayed
3. Press "↑ ↓" to enter the measured temperature value.
4. Press the "ENTER" key to save the calibrated temperature.
5. Press "MODE" to "RUN" position or press "↠→" to select other parameters.
b. Calibration of thermal conductivity CO2 sensor
Thermal conductivity type CO2 sensor used in 370 and 371 CO2 incubators. The thermal conductivity of the gas in the cabinet is not only affected by the CO2 concentration, but also by the temperature and humidity. In order to accurately measure the CO2 concentration value, the temperature and humidity in the cabinet must be kept constant. In this state, the co2 concentration is the only factor that causes the thermal conductivity of the gas in the tank to change.
When the setting temperature and humidity of the device change, the thermal conductivity CO2 sensor must be calibrated.
T / C CO2 sensor calibration method and process
Some CO2 sensors must go through a stable period, especially for new equipment that has just been installed. Start
The CO2 concentration value should be tested once a week and adjusted if necessary. After the calibration operation, the detection frequency can be smaller.
Newly installed equipment: The CO2 sensor has been calibrated at 37 ℃ in a high humidity environment when the equipment leaves the factory. The temperature, humidity and CO2 concentration in the cabinet are stable for at least 12 hours.
Equipment in use: Make sure the door of the cabinet is closed. After the temperature and CO2 concentration reach the set value, allow the device to stabilize for more than 2 hours.
Follow the steps below to calibrate the CO2 concentration:
1. Make sure the above conditions are met.
2. Use CO2 concentration measurement to extract a certain amount of CO2 gas from the sampling port for measurement. Repeat this process 3 times to ensure the accuracy of the measured value.
3. Press "MODE" to "CAL" position.
4. Press "↠→" until the "CO2 CAL XX.X" message is displayed.
5. Press "Press" ↑ ↓ "to enter the measured CO2 concentration value.
6. Press the "ENTER" key to save
7. Press "MODE" to "RUN" position or press "↠→" to select other parameters.
c. Calibration of infrared CO2 sensor.
The 380 and 381 model incubators use infrared CO2 sensors. The infrared CO2 sensor is not affected by the temperature and humidity in the box. But if the temperature changes greatly, the detection element of the sensor will also be affected. Therefore, after changing the setting temperature, it is recommended to calibrate the co2 concentration value.
Before calibrating the CO2 concentration, the temperature inside the box must be stable, especially the newly installed machine.
Calibration method and steps of IR CO2 sensor.
Newly installed equipment: temperature and CO2 concentration are stable for at least 12 hours.
Equipment in use: After the temperature and co2 concentration reach the set value, the temperature and CO2 concentration need to be stable for more than 2 hours.
Follow the steps below to calibrate the CO2 concentration value:
1. Take a certain amount of CO2 gas from the sampling port and measure the actual CO2 concentration value with FYRITE or other measuring instruments. To ensure measurement accuracy, this measurement process is repeated at least 3 times.
2. Press "MODE" to "CAL" position.
3. Press "↠→" until the message "CO2 CAL XX.X" is displayed.
4. Press "↑ ↓" to enter the actual CO2 concentration value.
5. Press the "ENTER" key to confirm.
6. Press "MODE" to "RUN" position or press "↠→" to select other parameters.
d. Humidity calibration
The 370/380 series CO2 incubator has a humidity sensor (optional). It can only display the humidity value inside the box, and it has no control function.
Humidity value calibration method and process
Newly installed equipment: temperature and humidity are stable for at least 12 hours.
Equipment in use: After the temperature reaches the set value, the equipment must be stable for more than 2 hours.
1. Place the humidity meter in the middle of the cabinet. Stable for 30 minutes.
2. Press "MODE" to "CAL" position.
3. Press "↠→" until the message "RH CAL XX" is displayed.
4. Press "↑ ↓" to enter the actual humidity value.
5. Press the "ENTER" key to confirm.
6. Press "MODE" to "RUN" mode.
If there is no humidity meter, you can use the following methods to calibrate
1. Ensure the conditions required to calibrate the humidity.
2. The water tray is filled with water and the temperature is stable. At this time, the humidity value in the cabinet should be 95%.
3. Follow steps 3-5 above to adjust the humidity value to 95%.
Note: The accuracy of this adjustment method is within ± 5%.
