VaporCoatÃ’ 2200R, VaporCoatÃ’ 1500 and VaporCoatÃ’ 330C can provide excellent waterproof, anti-tarnish and water-repellent properties for corrugated packaging paper under conventional hot-melt processing conditions.
VaporCoat 2200R is only suitable for maximum water resistance under hot melt treatment; VaporCoat 1500 is also only suitable for hot water treatment to provide the most economical water resistance; VaporCoat 330C can provide excellent both under cold melt and hot melt conditions The water resistance.
Each VaporCoat series coating (measured by water vapor transmission rate MVTR) can keep frozen foods fresh and high-grade paper dry. MVTR measures water resistance under controlled conditions with a period of more than 24 h. It has 5 defined temperature and humidity conditions ranging from medium to high. Michelman generally uses the highest degree of ASTM E96 testing procedures (100% F, 90% humidity) for testing.
Only through the most suitable coating and reasonable use can we achieve maximum water resistance. In place of a curtain coating or a polymer film, the MVTR coating is coated with a metering bar, and the best off-press treatment allows the primer and the top coating to be combined.
