The e-Brick UV curing system is GEW's third-generation technology. Compared with the previous two-generation technology, the technology has greatly improved energy saving, drying effect and equipment performance. For example, in terms of energy saving, everyone knows that a shaft-driven eight-color flexo printing machine annually consumes 60% or more of the electrical energy consumed by the entire machine. In China, the power frequency frequency is 50Hz. Figure 2 is the lamp output energy waveform diagram under the traditional control method based on power frequency. The frequency fluctuates between 0 and the maximum value. Figure 3 is based on the lamp output energy graph under the electronic control mode of 300Hz. The electronic control method is a square wave control method that changes the power frequency to 300 Hz. After frequency conversion and waveform tuning, the 300 Hz square wave voltage will be obtained at both ends of the lamp, so the lamp will output with a constant energy. When we look back at Figure 2 and Figure 3, it will be easy to find that the same electrical energy input will get more UV energy (Figure 4).

High power and high power factor

After a lot of tests and measurements, we get the following data.

From the above data, it is not difficult to see that the electronic control method has a greater potential than the traditional type in terms of energy saving. These saved energy is the direct profit of the factory. Power factor represents the ratio of active power to rated apparent power and is one of the important technical data of AC circuits. The level of power factor is of great significance to the utilization and analysis of electrical equipment, research on electrical energy consumption and other issues. Through the above data, we can see that the power factor of the electronic control method is 30 ~ 20% higher than the traditional type. This data fully illustrates the advantages of the electronic control method and is also an inevitable trend in the market.

Standby low power output

We take the UV full power output as an example, the traditional control method output power is 40% of full power in standby. In the electronic control mode, the output power is 18% of full power in standby. Through the analysis of the two data, the same machine, the same printing job, the same standby time, and the electronic control method will save 22% of the power in the same standby time than the traditional control method.

Stable square wave output

Through the above analysis, we can easily see that the high-frequency output of the electronically controlled square wave output is much more stable than the traditional control method. The stable output guarantees a stable drying effect and thus a stable machine production. From another perspective, it is also the improvement of machine productivity.

Refined output power control

As the third generation UV curing system of GEW, the output power has 21-level power output adjustment, and the traditional control method has 5-level power output adjustment. What are the benefits of refined power output? Now we give an example. For example, the machine needs 45% power to dry at a certain speed. In the table of Figure 5, we can see the actual output of the traditional and electronic control methods. If you want to get 45% of the power, as The traditional power resolution can only output 60% of the power to meet the dryness. The minimum power resolution of the electronic control mode is 5%, so the electronic control mode outputs exactly 45% of the power. Through this example, we clearly see the same The drying effect can save 15% of the electrical energy. We are thinking about if the machine runs like this every year, the electronic control method will greatly reduce the machine's operating cost!

Through the above analysis, the e-Brick GEW UV curing system is designed from the actual production in order to reduce production costs. After calculation and practice, we found that the electronic control method e-Brick GEW UV drying system will save 30% of the electric energy and get 20% more UV energy than the traditional method. In addition, e-Brick GEW UV also has a bright spot design in other aspects: e-Brick GEW system is equipped with a color touch screen man-machine dialogue interface, and the new operation interface has added storage and recall functions.
