Experimental principle of anaerobic digestion experimental device

Anaerobic digestion refers to the process of decomposing various complex organic substances in sewage or sludge into methane and carbon dioxide by the action of facultative bacteria and obligate anaerobic bacteria under the condition of no molecular oxygen. The final product is different from aerobic treatment: most of the carbon is converted to methane, nitrogen is converted to nitrogen, and sulfur is converted to sulfur. The intermediate product synthesizes cytoplasm and synthesizes complex and stable humus.

Anaerobic digestion experimental device experimental procedure

1. Retrieve the mature digested sludge from the municipal wastewater treatment plant and determine its MLSS and MLVSS.

2. Remove 2L of sludge into the anaerobic digester (control the sludge concentration to about 20g/L).

3. The closed digestion reaction system was placed for 1 d to consume oxygen in the digestion reactor with facultative bacteria.
