UK launches compressed air generator for modified atmosphere packaging

Dominick Hunter, the world's leading manufacturer of air generators, recently announced the introduction of Maxigas, a compressed air generator for the food and beverage packaging industry. The product can separate nitrogen from compressed air, and nitrogen can be used in modified atmosphere packaging (MAP). This product will be introduced to the market in October this year.

Dominick Hunter said, "This machine is used to help food processors to eliminate some unnecessary costs, such as inflation, shipping and order processing costs. In addition, the manufacturer will not be affected by the suspension of the replacement of nitrogen bottles."

In modified atmosphere packaging, nitrogen is filled into food packaging as an odorless gas, reducing the oxygen content to below 1%, thereby preventing aerobic damage while maintaining the taste and crispness of the product. In addition, nitrogen is also used in other operations in the food and beverage industry. For example, the environment can be filled with nitrogen, and the product can be filled with nitrogen during the processing of the food to avoid deterioration due to oxidation during processing; in addition, fine nitrogen can be added. Bubbles are filled into the beverage, reducing the oxygen content and extending the shelf life of the food.
