According to my experience in book printing for 10 years, I believe that the technical processing or improvement from the printing process will basically eliminate piracy. These technologies mainly have the following three aspects.
1. Shading When you type in your Chinese text, you add shading commands to make the text lined with a gray shading. This technology is because the shading is too deep, it will affect the clarity of the text, and it will cause many inconveniences to the reader; the shading is too shallow, and the piracy can easily use the computer graphics processing technology to dilute the shading and eliminate it. To prevent the purpose. According to practical experience, the gray level of shading should not exceed 40%, at least higher than 15%. Its disadvantage is that the entire layout is slightly dark and unsightly.
2. Hanging nets use hanging net technology to make text and pictures in the form of dots, creating obstacles to piracy. However, its technical difficulty is very high. Because the outlets are too large and thin, the texts, especially the pictures, are blurred and difficult to read; the outlets are too small and too dense. Although the layout is clear, it does not have a preventive effect. In general, the hanging net should be below 85 mesh. Of course, the shape of the screen and the required sharpness are different, and the accuracy of the screen connection will also be different. It depends on the actual situation. For example, the teaching materials of CCTV English teaching programs will use this technology.
Although the above two technologies can largely curb piracy, it is at the expense of the cleanliness of the layout, the clarity of text and pictures, and more or less inconvenience to readers. After repeated experiments and research, I think that improvements can be made from the following aspects: first, the contents of the books should be categorized, and the pages and key text fields, charts, and pictures should be listed, based on the number of words on the current page, the proportion of the pictures, and the required resolution. The height is paved with transitional shades that vary in shape, depth or depth. If this page is mainly text-based and highlights are located at the bottom or top, use transitional shading from shallow to deep or from dark to light. The shading should not be covered in full pages. It can be too rigid and can be paved with trapezoids or vegetables. It can also be paved with a pyramid or a tree. If the key part is in the middle, you can spread a sun or a sunflower, or shop a small deer, kid, squirrel, and other small animals (you can use hanging nets for illustrations, and you can add monochrome when you don't use hanging nets). 3. Colorful layouts If funds allow, especially for books of higher grades, colorful layouts can be used to prevent piracy. We know that there are two kinds of ground light in the human visual sense. If a computer graphics processing technology is used to scan such books, when the grayscale mode is used, the grayscale obtained in the grayscale image will be very close to the grayscale grayscale, and it will not be printed at all.
