Abstract: The pressure resistance of inflated food packaging is an important factor in whether the packaging is prone to breakage. This article takes a brand of potato chip inflatable packaging as an example, uses i-Boxtek 1700 carton compression tester to test its pressure resistance performance, and through the introduction of the test principle, equipment parameters and scope of application, test process, etc. Provide a reference for the pressure resistance of air-filled packaging or liquid food packaging.

1, meaning
After the food is packaged, in order to save space and facilitate transportation, it is generally stored and transported in the form of stacking code, so that the finished food packaging under the stacking code will be under the pressure of the upper food packaging. If the pressure resistance of the package is poor, it is easy to break the bag. Therefore, the bag body and the sealing part should have high pressure resistance. Inflatable packaging is a common form of food packaging, which can protect food inside the packaging from deformation and breakage. For nitrogen-filled packaging, it can also make food in a low-oxygen environment, prevent food from oxidative deterioration and mold. The effect is that the gas filled in the package is a double-edged sword. When it protects the food, it will have a greater impact on the package when squeezed or collided by external force, requiring the bag to have a higher load. The flexibility and sealing fastness, so as to strengthen the test of the pressure resistance of the air-filled packaging, can effectively reduce the bag breaking rate during the stacking and transportation process.

2, test samples
The test samples used in this test were packaged in a branded potato chip in the form of a pneumatic package.
3. Test basis
The test process is based on GB/T 10004-2008 "Packaging plastic composite film, bag dry composite, extrusion compounding" bag pressure resistance performance regulations.
4, test equipment
In this paper, the pressure resistance of the sample was tested by i-Boxtek 1700 carton compression tester. The equipment was independently developed and produced by Jinan Languang Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd.

4.1 Principle of the test
Through the simulation test sample stack code is squeezed, a certain pressure is applied to the sample, and the sample is deformed and leaked after being held for a certain period of time under the applied pressure. In addition, by testing the maximum crushing force, the pressure value to be applied to the test sample is set multiple times, and each setting is increased on the basis of the last force value, and the total deformation of the test sample is detected after a predetermined number of times. 4.2 Equipment parameters

4.3 Scope of application

At the same time, it also takes into account plastic cups, plastic drums (edible oil, mineral water), paper drums, paper cans, container containers (IBC barrels), and compression tests of hollow containers.
(2) This equipment meets many national and international standards, such as ASTM D642, ASTM D4169, TAPPI T804, ISO 12048, JIS Z0212, GB/T 16491, GB/T 4857.4, QB/T 1048, etc.
5, the test process
(1) Randomly sample 5 well-packaged finished packaging samples.
(2) Set parameters such as test pressure, test speed, and test time.
(3) Take one of the samples between the two test plates of the equipment, click the test option, the test starts, and after the test is finished, the device displays the deformation amount of the sample.
(4) The other four samples were placed in between the two test panels in sequence for testing.
6, test results
The five samples tested in this test were subjected to a pressure of 200 N for 1 min and the deformation amounts were 0.1 mm, 0.2 mm, 0.1 mm, 0.1 mm, and 0.3 mm, respectively. No air leakage or bag breaking occurred.
7. Conclusion
Pressure resistance is an important performance of inflatable food packaging. In this paper, the i-Boxtek 1700 carton compression tester was used to detect the deformation of a brand of potato chips after a certain period of time under certain pressure, and visually observed the leakage of the sample.
