First, the implementation background
After 2009, most schools in Gaochun District have set up wireless LANs, which use household-grade wireless routers to access wired networks. Such networking is more common in home wireless implementation, but there are three major problems in school use: First, management is inconvenient, whether each wireless router opens DHCP to form a small LAN connection terminal, or the wireless router As a wireless switch, the terminal is connected to the wired network, and the network management takes a lot of time during the inspection and management. The second is the security issue. There are so many wireless password sharing softwares, and the set passwords are shared in a few days. And there are many residential areas around our school, which will cause a large number of non-school terminals to access the school's wireless network. For a large number of wireless routers, changing the password will be very cumbersome. Third, the wireless network between schools is relatively closed. Every new school needs teachers to ask for wireless passwords.

Second, networking mode
Since most schools have built relatively well-established wired networks, considering the cost performance, there is no re-arrangement of fiber between buildings, but through the original wired network.
There are five buildings in our school that need to be wireless. The AP is connected to the POE switch and directly connected to the AC. The other buildings are connected to the POE switch and then connected to the original Layer 2 switch.
Connect to the core switch and then to the AC. This method will cause the IP address of the AP between different buildings not to be on one network segment. However, the address after the wireless terminal is accessed is uniformly mapped to a specific network segment by the core, and is not in the same network segment as the original wired network. Actual use has no effect.
The Internet account and password do not use SSID plus wireless password, but use the city's unified WEB authentication method. A teacher has an account, so security is greatly improved.

Third, the implementation process
After the wiring and installation of the wireless network, the entire debugging process can be divided into three stages.
(1) The connection phase
After the line is connected, it is first tested using a temporary account. The tests in each school are better and can be connected smoothly. After the new and distributed teacher account, there were some minor problems: due to different terminals, different support for WEB authentication, and teachers' unfamiliarity with WEB authentication, many teachers thought that it was not as convenient to use as the original wireless. In addition, IP authentication was adopted at the time, and most of the equipment even required several certifications a day, and the experience was not very good.
(2) No perception stage
In response to the problems caused by the use of IP authentication methods for teachers, urban hotspots have upgraded the authentication method. MAC binding is used, which achieves non-aware authentication. As long as the teacher is authenticated once, there is no need to re-authenticate in the future.
(3) School management stage
This time, the WEB certification is unified throughout the city, and the advantage is that each school can reach the same account roaming. However, the school's management of the account can not be carried out, each time there is a problem with the account and need to open a temporary account, you need to contact the relevant company, the timeliness is very poor. In view of this situation, the authority to manage the school has been increased. The school can open accounts, cancel accounts, modify and other operations for the school's account, and can also open a 24-hour temporary account, greatly improving convenience.
Fourth, the use of the situation
After the wireless network is fully debugged, the user experience has increased by a step compared to the original home-level wireless router. First, when multiple terminals appear in the same range, some terminals cannot connect to the wireless (the number of terminals connected to the home wireless router is too small), and secondly, when conducting teaching and research activities in other schools. You can connect directly to the wireless network, and you don't need to ask someone to ask for a wireless password. For managers, the benefits are more: how many wireless connections are available at school; security is greatly improved, and no unknown wireless access occurs; when non-educational personnel need to use wireless in some activities, convenient Temporary accounts are also very convenient to use.

5. Where improvements are needed
Of course, we also found some minor problems in use. First, some terminals that cannot perform WEB authentication have difficulty accessing the Internet, such as the Xiaomi TV box in the classroom multimedia in this agricultural project. The second is internal network security, NJJY is a passwordless connection, and WEB authentication is connected to the external network. In use, we found that after connecting NJJY, it has already connected to the intranet, and can't connect to the Internet without WEB authentication; but at the same time it is connected to various services of the intranet, the intranet is in an unsafe situation.
