There are two heating methods for the hot runner diverter plate. One is internal heating, that is, setting the heating rod in the flow channel to heat the plastic from the inside of the flow channel.
The other is external heating. Generally, a heating hole is opened in a direction parallel to the flow passage, a heating rod is inserted or a heating coil is installed, and the flow passage is heated from the outside of the flow passage.
Comparing the two methods, the internal heating method has higher thermal efficiency, but it is likely to cause local overheating in the hot runner system and increase the flow resistance of the melt; the external heating method does not produce local overheating and the flow resistance in the flow channel. Small, easy to process flow channels, easy to buy heating devices, easy maintenance, but the heating efficiency is low.
