Leather clothing exports continued to decline in the first half of 2008

In the first half of 2008, the export of leather garments was 8.76 million pieces, with a price of 370 million U.S. dollars, down 23% and 9% respectively over the same period of last year. The imports of 30,000 pieces and 10.53 million U.S. dollars were up by 26% and 107% respectively over the same period of last year.
